Forty-one people with links to illegal drug sales were arrested over the course of 36 hours last week here in Southwest Florida.

The News-Press reports, a multi-agency task force, known as "NETFORCE," created by State Attorney Amira Fox, is responsible for the arrests.

Fox says the group has seized nearly $650,000 dollars in illegal drugs as well as $350,000 dollars in cash from illicit sales of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Booking logs show that on September 2nd alone, Lee County agencies arrested at least 16 people on cocaine, heroin, amphetamine and fentanyl trafficking charges.

Bond was set between $250,000 and $4.52 million for the 16 people booked into the Lee County jail.
