The Board of Collier County Commissioners voted to extend the county’s mandatory mask mandate during a special meeting held Thursday.
The mandate is only applicable in unincorporated parts of Collier County. It is intended to apply to businesses that cannot maintain CDC recommended social distancing.
Collier Code Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the mandate, individuals will not be fined for noncompliance.
The mandate will be in effect until April 13, 2021. BOCC Chairman Burt Saunders said commissioners have the option to repeal the mandate earlier if necessary.
