Wind Damage, Possible Tornado Risk Across Florida Wednesday Night And Thursday

A powerful cold front is expected to sweep across our area tomorrow, and Meteorologist Jeff Huffman says it has the potential to produce hazardous thunderstorms ahead of it.

"The leading edge of the storms could produce damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph. Also, a few of the individual cells may rotate enough to produce a tornado. And I wouldn't rule out two or more rounds occurring during the second half of the day", said Huffman.

Huffman also says the most likely time the dangerous storms will be in our area is between 5 PM and 10 PM Thursday night. Following the stormy Thursday, scattered showers are possible Friday ahead of a sunnier weekend.
