Beginning June 11 of this year, Breeze Airways will offer service from Fort Myers International Airport to Las Vegas and Charleston, South Carolina. The flights will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, in new A220-300 airplanes..
Founder and CEO David Neeleman, who founded JetBlue, started Breeze in 2018. He described the company’s philosophy:
“Our ethos is basically, we’ll get you there twice as fast for about the half the fare,” Neeleman said.
Booking is online and communication with the company is digital, not by phone.
“You can book us online. You can text us , you can Facebook messenger us. We usually get back to you in like 10 minutes and resolve any questions or issues that you have,” he said.
The airline will offer three classes: standard economy, extra legroom, and First Class. At press time, tickets from Fort Myers to Charleston for June 11 were $49-99 and tickets to Las Vegas that day were $159-259.
