Following the departure of F-G-C-U Colin Hargis who is headed to North Carolina State, the university turned to someone who has been in charge of the athletic department before — Lauren Leister. She previously helped run the department in 2023, and has been a part of the athletic department since 2020.
The city of Fort Myers maintains an Arts & Culture Grant program. For 2026, City Council has made $150,000 available for payment of grants. The city is accepting digital applications now through May 15.
Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre has enjoyed great success working with canine performers, such as the three dogs who played Sandy in last year’s production of “Annie.” Now, the theater wants to cast two to three terriers to play the part of Toto in “The Wizard of Oz.”
