6/3 Tropical Outlook

A new Tropical Depression has formed in the eastern Pacific and remnants of this storm may eventually move into the Gulf.

On this third day of the season, the tropical Atlantic is quiet and expected to stay that way in the next five days. In the eastern Pacific, Tropical Depression Two has formed a 140 miles south of the central coast of Mexico and likely to become Tropical Storm Boris as it approaches land later today. The remnant area of low pressure from this storm will be watched closely as it potentially moves into the Southern Gulf of Mexico over the weekend, but at this time regeneration into a tropical cyclone - if it happens at all next week - would be very slow to occur.
