Sarasota Police Officers arrest a man on June 16 on a warrant for failure to appear. The arrest happened outside the Resurrection House, a homeless day shelter in downtown Sarasota, where officers recognized the man when he entered to seek services. Officer Nathan Lynn (left) said the officers had no choice but to arrest the man because of the warrant, but he was confident the charge would be dismissed, as the man had only failed to appear in court because he was in a drug recovery program in another county.
