Venice-based Terrorgram member sentenced to 51 months in prison
Alexander Lightner of Venice was sentenced in federal court today to 51 months in prison for possession of an unregistered firearm. His case was investigated by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.Court documents said Lightner is a member of the Terrorgram Collective — an online organization promoting white supremacy. The group espouses that violence and terrorism are necessary to ignite a race war and accelerate the collapse of the government.

Bonita Springs Utilities is best-tasting water winner in 10-state contest
Bonita Springs Utilities Inc. has earned top honors as the 2025 Best Tasting Drinking Water winner in a blind taste test conducted by the Southeast Desalting Association. The annual competition draws entries from water utilities across the 10-state region of the southeastern U.S. Samples were evaluated by a panel of judges on color, odor, clarity and overall taste.
