Agencies urge water conservation amid state's drought conditions
Southwest Lee County and Northeast Collier County are both experiencing extreme drought conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. Local governments are urging people to conserve water.
Elections offices hope for about 30% turnout in Tuesday's primary
Turnout for the Primary election on August 20 is projected to be about 30 percent of eligible voters in Collier and Lee Counties. Charlotte is hoping for 30, but hasn't reached that number in a primary in more than a decade.
