'More than just a park' -- Lazy Springs Recreational Park operators confirm closure; follows $5M property sale
After years as a beloved destination for off-road enthusiasts, campers and families, Lazy Springs Recreational Park will close its gates for good at the end of November. Park officials announced that the property has been sold and that the final open weekend will be Nov. 29–30. Until then, the park will remain open every weekend during regular hours.
'Central Park Five': Rape, Race And Blame Explored
A documentary airing tonight on PBS tells the story of the five young black and Latino men wrongly convicted of the 1989 assault and rape of a white female jogger in Manhattan's Central Park. Ken Burns made the film with his eldest daughter, Sarah Burns, and David McMahon.
