COVID-19 Morning Report
State health officials reported another 12,624 cases of COVID-19, Monday, marking Florida's second highest number of new confirmed cases in a single day after shattering the national single day record, Sunday of more than 15,000 cases.Florida's total number of cases of the virus now stands at 282,435. The Florida Department of Health also reported 35 new coronavirus-related deaths, July 13, increasing the statewide death toll to 4,277 fatalities.Of the 2,642,613 tests that have been performed in Florida so far, 10.7% have been positive for the virus. Florida's positivity rate has averaged around 14.3% for the past two weeks, which is about three times what it was when the first phase of Florida's reopening plan went into effect in May.
