2023 Southwest Florida Invasive Fish Roundup is in hopes of not just catching tilapia but to raise awareness of how harmful invasive species can be to the environment
If you see horseshoe crabs having some 'private time' take notes
If you’re walking the beach and happen along a pair of horseshoe crabs linked together at water’s edge, and they are sort of wiggling about in the sand, you probably want to leave the couple alone as they are having some private time. However, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission would appreciate it if you took some notes. The Florida Horseshoe Crab Watch Program is a citizen-scientist initiative to collect data throughout the state, and reporting horseshoe crab sightings provides valuable information about habitat use, population distribution, and environmental conditions for nesting to the FWC.

“The Wolves” was created by Sarah DeLappe and is directed by FGCU’s Barry Cavin and is a coming-of-age story about young women who share the common goal of being the region's best high school soccer team. It is being presented at FGCU's TheatreLab through April 27.
Housing Lawyer Discusses Eviction Moratorium
In a historic move, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a nationwide halt on evictions earlier this month. WGCU’s Andrea Perdomo spoke with Cathy Lucrezi, supervising attorney for Legal Aid Services of Collier County about what tenants need to do in order to prevent eviction.

Raising Awareness About Domestic Violence
October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. According to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, one in three women and one in four men will experience violence by an intimate partner during their lifetime.
