Pollinators are responsible for assisting about 80% of the world's flowering plants to reproduce, and that includes quite a few crops grown for food. We learn about the work being done by pollinators all around us, and get some tips on how to attract them to our yard, and how to keep from harming them by misusing pesticides.

Senate President Passidomo's husband dies after fall in Utah
John Passidomo, the husband of Senate President Kathleen Passidomo, died Wednesday after falling and suffering massive head trauma and other injuries, according to a memo distributed by the Florida Senate.

Deaf community members face isolation and stereotypes
Some deaf people in Southwest Florida say they face isolation, stereotypes and misunderstanding from hearing people. At the same time, the Sally Pimentel Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is asking for help to serve more people.

Art Fest Naples returns to Fleischmann Park Jan. 18 & 19
Art Fest Naples began as a fundraising idea for Eden Autism Services. Twenty-eight years later, the annual art festival is still going strong. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 18 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 19.
