Cape Coral man arrested for threatening mass shooting
A Cape Coral man was arrested, Thursday, on charges of making a written threat to conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism. 55-year-old Ira Denis Crosser Jr. was arrested at his Southeast Cape Coral home and transported to the Lee County Jail.
Medical examiners report brings state deaths to 58; 23 unlisted Charlotte deaths put toll at 81
Deaths by county were reported as: Collier – 3; Hendry – 1; Hillsborough – 1; Lake – 1; Lee – 42; Manatee – 2; Sarasota – 3; Volusia – 5.
Deaths now at least 100 from Hurricane Ian; 46 officially in Lee, five in Collier, two in Charlotte
Based on a tally provided by the state and additional calculations by NPR (WGCU is a member station), the number of those killed is at least 100.

A report from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement placed Lee County at the forefront of deaths from Hurricane Ian with 30 of the 44 confirmed thus far.
