DFS to deploy Hurricane Ian insurance villages to SWFL
Insurahnce villages planned in SWFL April 17-19 will serve as an opportunity for policyholders to meet with their property insurer in-person and work together to resolve outstanding claims. Mark Sievers' first degree murder conviction, corresponding death sentence, and conspiracy to commit murder conviction, were affirmed in the court's 38-page order on the case Thursday morning, following an appeal by the defendant.
Fire in Ian debris pile on Sanibel's Island Inn Road under control
The area is secure and the Sanibel Fire Department has the fire under control. Sanibel Fire Captain John DiMaria said the fire had likely been smoldering for hours before flames surfaced.
