Lee County Utilities has rescinded a precautionary Boil Water Notice to an estimated 580 residences in South Fort Myers off Winkler Road.Bacterial testing has shown the drinking water is safe and residents may now resume usual use of their water without the need to boil it.

An large area of disturbed weather is located over Central America, the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, and the adjacent waters of the northwestern Caribbean Sea and southern Gulf of Mexico, according to a forecast from the National Hurricane Center.
