Boil water notice for South Fort Myers area off Winkler Road
Lee County Utilities has issued a precautionary Boil Water Notice to an estimated 580 residences in South Fort Myers off Winkler Road.The situation was caused by a contractor who hit a water main in the area.Neighborhoods impacted include those along Winkler Road from Banyan Bay to Woodgate Drive.
NHC watching area off African coast; Development unlikely
The official start of the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season isn’t until June first, but the environment is already signaling that a system could form well before then. Wednesday afternoon, the National Hurricane Center identified an area of low pressure that they are monitoring in the tropics.

Boil water notice rescinded for southern part of Marco Island
A failure at the South Water Treatment Plant for the City of Marco Island caused a pump to shut down and dropped water pressure, prompting a boil water advisory for the southern part of the island.The notice was lifted Monday morning.
