The public is invited to join Lee County’s Clerk and Comptroller Kevin Karnes, Property Appraiser Matt Caldwell and Tax Collector Noelle Branning for a comprehensive presentation on the property assessment, collection and dispute process.The class will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 2 from 2-3 p.m. at the Estero Recreation Center, located at 9200 Corkscrew Palms Boulevard in Estero.
National Weather Service issues high surf, rip tide warnings
The National Weather Service Monday issued a high surf advisory for the following areas: Coastal Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee, Hillsborough and Manatee counties and also Pinellas County from 7 p.m. Monday to 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Boil water notice for South Fort Myers area off Winkler Road
Lee County Utilities has issued a precautionary Boil Water Notice to an estimated 580 residences in South Fort Myers off Winkler Road.The situation was caused by a contractor who hit a water main in the area.Neighborhoods impacted include those along Winkler Road from Banyan Bay to Woodgate Drive.
