Part of the wonder of Southwest Florida’s wild spaces includes the vast array of bird varieties that live among us. And one species in particular recently caught the attention of News-Press storyteller Amy Bennett Williams. Between their energetic flight movements, crested heads and piercing call, the Kingfisher is hard to mistake for anything else.
