Friday on Gulf Coast Live features WGCU's contribution to the statewide Decision Florida collaborative reporting project: an in-depth report looking at a proposed ban in Florida to hydraulic fracturing, commonly known as "fracking," and other fracking-like oil and gas well stimulation treatments in the state.

At noon Friday, WGCU's John Davis hosts a special edition of Decision Florida live on WGCU Public Media’s Facebook page, via Facebook Live video, where Davis talks with representatives from the Conservancy of Southwest Florida and the Florida Petroleum Council about the proposed fracking ban.

Friday at 1 p.m. on Gulf Coast Live, hear Davis's story on the proposed fracking ban, listen to an encore presentation of his Facebook Live show, and hear more on the issue with extended interviews on the show.

Matthew Smith is a reporter and producer of WGCU’s Gulf Coast Live.
