As folks grow older they inevitably face changes in their physical, mental, and sensory abilities, and this can affect their ability to drive safely. And, broaching this topic with aging relatives can be a touchy issue, because driving is such a direct representation of independence.
We’re marking Older Driver Safety Awareness Week with a conversation about the challenges aging drivers face, and ways traffic safety experts work to help them stay on the roads, as well as help to determine when it’s no longer safe for them to drive. We’re joined by Jay Anderson from Stay Alive, Just Drive, and Dan Moser, who conducts safe driving assessments for older motorists.
