Voters in Florida are being asked to decide on 12 amendments to the state’s constitution during this year's General Election on Tuesday, November 6. Three of them are legislative referrals: the Permanent Cap on Non-homestead Parcel Assessment Increases Amendment, the Homestead Exemption Increase Amendment, and the Two-Thirds Vote of Legislature to Increase Taxes or Fees Amendment. Two of them are citizen-initiated constitutional amendments: the Voter Approval of Casino Gambling Initiative, and the Voting Rights Restoration for Felons Initiative. And seven of which were referred by the Florida Constitution Revision Commission, each of which covers multiple issues. We’ll hear a roundup of stories from public radio reporters around the state about some of the proposed amendments on this year's ballot.
