As the Laboratory Theater celebrates the tenth anniversary in its performance venue in downtown Fort Myers, it presents a "Festival of Tens." The festival features a series of 10-minute plays written by local playwrights who’ve been taking playwriting classes through the Lab Theater.
It begins tomorrow and runs through Sunday, and today on the program we're talking with the Laboratory Theater’s founder and producing artistic director Annette Trossbach. We'll also talk with actor Steven Coe who will perform in the festival and who is directing three of the plays.
We also hear from two of the playwrights whose work is featured in the festival. Nancy Stetson, who will have two comedies featured during the festival, is joining us; as is News-Press investigative reporter, and consumer watchdog Melanie Payne (who will also be participating as an actor this weekend).
