The Baker Museum at Artis-Naples has emerged from challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and damage from Hurricane Irma with new exhibitions “True Likeness,” and “Recent Acquisitions: 2019 – Present.”“True Likeness” invites viewers to re-examines why we are so mesmerized by our own faces and the ones we encounter as we re-emerge from our homes in the wake of the pandemic.“Recent Acquisitions” includes 50 works that have been added to the museum’s permanent collection since 2019, most of which are now available for public view for the first time.

Myra Janco Daniels, who founded the Philharmonic Center for the Arts (now Artis-Naples) and the Naples Museum of Art (now the Baker Museum), died Wednesday, June 22, at the age of 96.
