  • State Health officials reported a new single-day record high number of coronavirus-related deaths, Tuesday. The Florida Department of Health reported 276 deaths, Aug. 11, increasing the statewide death toll to 8,685 fatalities. The previous record was 257 deaths on July 31.The health department also reported another 5,831 new cases of COVID-19, Tuesday, bringing Florida's overall total to 542,792 cases.
  • For the second consecutive day, the number of new cases of the coronavirus reported by state health officials topped 2,000 new confirmed cases.The Florida Department of Health reported 2,610 new cases of COVID-19, Wednesday, following Tuesday's single-day record high of 2,783 cases.The statewide total number of cases now stands at 82,719. State health officials also reported 25 new coronavirus-related deaths, June 17, increasing the statewide death toll to 3,018 fatalities.
  • State health officials reported 1,758 new cases of COVID-19, Monday, increasing the statewide total to 77,326 confirmed cases. That number is down slightly from the more than 2,000 new cases reported Sunday and the record setting 2,581 new cases reported Saturday.The Florida Department of Health also reported seven new coronavirus-related deaths, Monday, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,938 fatalities, including 1,546 deaths in long-term care facilities.
