First Major Hurricane Since 2012

WUFT

Hurricane Edouard is now a major hurricane. As of midday Tuesday, its max winds are sustained at 115 mph. Despite its strengthening, The National Hurricane Center forecast Hurricane Edouard will weaken on Wednesday. The eye of Hurricane Edouard remains several hundred miles to the east-southeast of Bermuda. It is expected to continue moving further into the Atlantic, posing no threat to the United States. The last hurricanes to reach category 3 status for the Atlantic season were back in 2012 (Michael and Sandy).
