Five candidates will be on stage tonight in Las Vegas for the first debate of the Democratic primary – Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Jim Webb, Lincoln Chafee and Martin O’Malley.
The media and voters are still waiting to see whether Vice President Joe Biden will vie for the nomination. CNN even has an extra lectern on standby in case he commits at the last minute.
NPR national political correspondent Mara Liasson joins Here & Now hosts Robin Young and Jeremy Hobson to discuss the Democratic presidential candidates.
