Kentucky attorney general, Daniel Cameron, announced on Wednesday that none of the three police officers involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor would be charged directly over her death. One of the men was indicted for shooting into neighboring homes.
In response, protests emerged nationwide, demanding charges against the officers. Here's a selection of pictures from around the country, as demonstrators called for justice for Taylor and respect for Black life.

One of the easiest ways to become intertwined with a different culture is to dive into their food. For Beta Israelis, this history combined Jewish and Ethiopian heritage and dates back centuries.
The Seven Islands development, a large-scale approximately 48-acre project dating back to 2015, is planning to break ground in Northwest Cape Coral on the east side of the Spreader Canal after it was unanimously passed by the Cape Coral City Council on Jan. 21. But as some residents are happy for the addition to the underdeveloped region of the city, others are circumspect as to how it will impact traffic, environment, infrastructure, and the charm.
Playwrights devote considerable thought to the names they give their plays, but sometimes a spark of inspiration just happens. Playwright Michael Tucker says that’s how “A Tailor Near Me” got its name.
Hazardous condition is being cited for closure of the boardwalk at the CREW Bird Rookery Swamp Trail in Collier County. The trail parking lot on Shady Hollow Boulevard West is also closed.
