Lawmakers Expect Details On Florida Education Plans

Florida schools are facing some deadlines in the next year. Every grade is scheduled to switch to new English language arts and math standards this fall. And a new test is scheduled to replace most of the FCAT in early 2015.

But lawmakers are worried schools may not be ready. It's why they've asked Education Commissioner Pam Stewart to a Senate hearing Wednesday in Tallahassee.
