Kensington Palace announced this week that Prince Harry will be visiting Wellington on May 4th when he will play in a polo match for his charity that benefits children affected by HIV/AIDS.
The prince will be in the area for just one day before he heads to Orlando for the Invictus games. The Games, created by Prince Harry in 2014, are a week long competition for wounded veterans from around the world. Prince Harry retired from the British Army in 2015 after 10 years of service.It’s the prince’s first visit to Wellington, but his second time playing in a charity polo tournament in the US. Three years ago, Prince Harry played in Greenwich Connecticut. The last time Palm Beach County had a visit from a member of the Royal Family was in 1985 when Prince Charles and Princess Diana visited.
