Naples-based award-winning photographer Michelle Tricca is embarking on a bold project titled, “The Face of Immokalee,” aimed at capturing the soul of the Immokalee community: Its people.
The work involves capturing black and white portraits highlighting the diversity and humanity of the community for a large-scale public art installation on the wall of Zocalo Plaza, as well as on the sides of tractor trailer trucks that will serve as a kind of mobile exhibition.
We’ll talk with Tricca about the project and her other endeavors including the art books “Florida Cowboys” and “Slave to Vanity,” as well as a new zine in the works called “BAD VIBE – Visual Musings on life in the Bayshore Arts District.”
