    The South Florida Water Management District plans to conduct a 80-acre prescribed burn in the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed (CREW) Management Area in Collier County today. The burn unit is in the CREW Management Area and is approximately 5 miles south of SR 82 and 1.5 miles east of Corkscrew Road.

Accessible through a smartphone app, Manatee Moves is open to all pre-registered veterans who can walk on their own, or who use an assistance device like a folding walker.

    Hormel Foods Corporation is recalling approximately 256,185 pounds of canned beef stew product that may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically wood.The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the recall Wednesday saying the product was shipped to retail locations nationwide.
  • LeeTran will also resume the free beach tram on Fort Myers Beach, November 16. The free tram will run about every 35 minutes, seven days a week from Fort Myers Beach Public Library to Bowditch Point Park.
