Florida Gulf Coast University eyes computer science program
The Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees next week is slated to consider adding a bachelor’s degree program in computer science. The new program, which would have an anticipated launch in the fall 2024 semester, would allow students to choose a concentration in cybersecurity, data science or software engineering.
Tropical Storm Claudette Brings Rain And Floods To The Gulf Coast
Thunderstorms and high winds on the east side of the storm battered the Florida Panhandle and much of Alabama on Saturday, as the weather system moved toward the North Carolina coast.
Florida Gulf Coast University weighs 'intensive' English program
Florida Gulf Coast University trustees this week are slated to consider launching an “intensive English language program” to help fill a need after the closing of a private university. Hodges University in Fort Myers announced last year that it would stop enrolling new students, with only limited classes being offered through August. In a news release last year, Hodges University cited “financial challenges and declining enrollment numbers” as the reason for closing.
