  • Tens of thousands of cases of deodorant have been recalled by the manufacturer, a report from the Federal Food and Drug Administrations says.The recall by manufacturer A.P. Deauville affects more than 67,000 cases of 1.8 ounce versions of "power fresh"-scented Power Stick for Her Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant, "spring fresh"-scented Power Stick Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant and Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant.

  • Around 1,000 properties in Northeast Cape Coral will be required to connect to the city irrigation system within six months according to letters just issued from the city.The connection demand comes as part of an emergency order contained in a November 2023 ordinance. The ordinance was created in response to issues with the Mid-Hawthorne Aquifer, the underground water source for the portion of Cape Coral affected.Only properties in the water-shortage area served by the aquifer and only where City irrigation service is already available will be affected.
  • More than 212,000 pounds of liquid egg products that may contain a cleaning solution with sodium hypochlorite is being recalled nationwide, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Friday.The liquid egg items, from Cargill Kitchen Solutions, a Lake Odessa, Michigan establishment, were produced on March 12 and 13, 2025.After conducting an investigation and thorough assessment of the contents of the cleaning solution, FSIS scientists concluded that use of this product should not cause adverse health consequences, or the risk is negligible, resulting in a Class III recall.
