The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that the Second Amendment of the Constitution guarantees an individual right to bear arms. That's a huge shift in constitutional law; it's been almost 70 years since the high court ruled on the amendment. The decision came in a challenge to Washington, D.C.'s gun ban.

Blasts Kill Dozens at Shiite Mosque in Baghdad
At least 70 people have been killed and more than 140 wounded in a deadly suicide bombing at a Baghdad mosque. A bomber struck as worshippers left the Shiite Buratha mosque following afternoon prayers. Reports describe at least two explosions, one inside and one outside the building.

Many millions of Hindus are gathered along the shores of their holiest river, the Ganges, in one of the world's largest religious gatherings, the Kumbh Mela.
