FGCU Program Connects Students to Seniors in Assisted Living Facilities
Nearly 500 students are now participating in the “Students & Seniors: From Our Nest to Theirs” program at Florida Gulf Coast University. Students earn service-learning hours by writing letters, and creating cards, videos, poems, stories, and works of art, which are then distributed to seniors living in care facilities in Lee and Collier Counties.

Sarasota Dolphin Research Program Celebrates 50th Anniversary
The Sarasota Dolphin Research Program is the longest-running study of a wild dolphin population anywhere in the world. Since 1970 more than 52,400 dolphin group sightings have yielded more than 158,000 identifications of more than 5,600 individually distinctive dolphins in and around Sarasota Bay.
