Striped Mullet are a prolific fish species in Florida waters most easily spotted through their habit of leaping out of the water. Their good vision and speed can make them a challenge for rod and reel anglers. News-Press Storyteller Amy Bennett Williams hadn’t given the fish much thought, until a recent family canoe trip through the mangroves brought her up close and personal with one.
