The Baker Museum at Artis-Naples in Collier County recently hired award-winning curator, art historian, museum leader, lecturer and writer Courtney McNeil as its new Museum Director and Chief Curator.
McNeil’s background includes 15 years at the Telfair Museums in Savannah, Georgia. Her past exhibitions have garnered national awards and grants from organizations including the National Endowment for the Arts, the Southeastern Museums Conference and the Terra Foundation for American Art. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Art History from Courtauld Institute, where she also worked in the National Gallery in London.
McNeil joins us to explore her professional background, her passion for helping people connect art with different perspectives and new ideas, and her vision for the Baker Museum going forward.
