KC & The Sunshine Band comes to Southwest Florida for a performance at the Seminole Casino in Immokalee on Saturday, July 20. The band’s unique fusion of R&B and funk became synonymous with the Disco Era in the 1970s and they’ve continued to delight music fans and influence other artists for decades. Ahead of the performance we catch up with the voice and driving force behind the band: South Florida-based singer, songwriter and producer Harry Casey. We’ll explore everything from his days as a teenager hanging around the T.K. Recording Studio in Miami, to the band’s origins and a look at Casey’s studio projects currently in the works.
