Musician and Naples resident George Manos died Monday. In his younger years, Manos served as the private pianist to President Harry Truman and enjoyed a long career in music playing with many leading musicians of the 20th century including Aaron Copeland, Leonard Bernstein, and Igor Stravinsky. We’ll listen back to Maestro Manos’ 2009 interview with WGCU’s Amy Tardif upon the release of his memoir titled, “The President's Pianist: My Term with Truman and My Life in Music.”
