Acclaimed Southwest Florida artist Ikki Matsumoto died this month at the age of 79. His silk screens depicting animals, birds and subtropical landscapes of our region garnered international attention. Additionally, Matsumoto ran a gallery on Sanibel Island with his wife, and even decorated a White House Easter egg for Nancy Reagan in 1985. We’ll listen back to our 2010 interview with Matsumoto about his life and work.
