Officials with the State Attorney’s Office along with State Rep. Kathleen Passidomo, R-Naples, announced the creation of a new elder fraud task force earlier this month. Financial abuse and exploitation of the elderly is a growing problem in the region, and this new task force will connect law enforcement and other governmental agencies in their efforts to identify, investigation and prevent such crimes. We’ll learn more about how these crimes are committed and how the task force will operate. Plus. Rep.
