Thursday at 1 p.m., Gulf Coast Live is on location at the Coconut Point Farmers Market.
Local farmers and producers will be on hand to talk about what's in season, alongside cottage industry food producers offering up everything from guacamole to baked goods to almond milk, all of which is made locally in Southwest Florida.
Joining the show will be David Rashty, the president of Slow Food Southwest Florida. Rashty is also a chef, and will be cooking up a meal with what he finds at the market during the course of the show. He and other guests at the market will talk about what’s growing and being made locally, and how your family budget fares when shopping at the farmers market.
