Late last month, Chipotle restaurants across the U.S. became the latest victim of a cybersecurity hack that stole customers’ credit card information from a number of its stores, including several in South Florida. With such attacks increasingly common, many aren't sure what to do if their card was hacked.
Economic crimes specialist Sgt. Dianne Young with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office joins the show to talk about credit card information breaches, how they happen, and what to do to protect yourself.
Also joining the program is Tiffany Williams, the vice president of banking at Finemark Bank in Southwest Florida, about how banks respond to breaches, and deal with the businesses that have been hacked and individuals whose card numbers were taken.
