The Bonita Springs International Film Festival comes to the Center for the Arts Bonita Springs Jan. 25-28. The festival includes screenings of more than 70 films from around the world including narrative, documentary, animation and short films. Festival goers can also participate in workshops, demonstrations, Q & A sessions with filmmakers, writers, directors and actors.
Those sessions will include an appearance by Kevin Bachhuber, who will be traveling from Kenya to join the film festival. Bachhuber a sustainable agriculture consultant and founder of the first insect farm in the U.S. to receive FDA and state licensure to produce food-grade insects. Bachhuber is featured prominently in the film, “The Gateway Bug.” Festival attendees will also be treated to the red carpet experience including live music and catered food. We’ll learn all about this years’ film festival offerings from Susan Bridges, President of Centers for the Arts Bonita Springs as well as the non-profits Operations Director Kathy Saldivar.
