We're sitting down with the founder of Southwest Florida VegFest to learn about living a plant-based life. The 2nd annual festival, which is this Sunday, Jan. 28 at Riverside Park in Bonita Springs, showcases the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle for one's health, compassion for animals, and protecting the planet. We'll explore where to find healthy, plant-based foods in Southwest Florida, as well as local sources for eco-friendly and cruelty-free products. And, we'll explore the science behind the benefits of a plant-based diet. We're joined by the event founder, Mike Young, as well as one of the featured speakers, Gene Baur, best selling author and co-founder and President of Farm Sanctuary.

We'll also meet the man behind Healthy Harvest Community Farms in Lehigh Acres. It's a community garden that seeks to connect people to the food they eat, and benefit the less fortunate with healthy alternatives.
