FGCU Jazz Quartet
FGCU BOWER SCHOOL OF MUSIC & THE ARTS

We’re re-airing an hour of live music from our performance studio with FGCU’s Jazz Quartet which originally aired in January. If you like live jazz music on the radio, mark your calendar for Thursday, October 4th when we’ll be having another group of jazz musicians from FGCU’s music program back on the show for another hour of live tunes.

We were joined by Florida Gulf Coast University’s Director of Jazz Studies, Brandon Robertson, and the school’s jazz quartet, which featured Alec Prorock on trumpet, Jonathan Ingram on bass, Joel Law on piano, and Miguel Azcuy on drums. We met the musicians and learned about their backgrounds and side projects, and explored where jazz fits into the modern music scene.
