Northern Cardinals

Whether you know it by its proper name – Northern Cardinal – or simply call it “Redbird”, this is a bird that seems everyone’s favorite. Its image adorns Christmas cards and calendars every year. This is also a backyard favorite, not only because of the male’s brilliant red, but also because it’s with us year round and readily comes to bird feeders that are kept stocked with sunflower seeds.
