According to organizer Melissa DeHaven, from designers and models to hair and make-up artists, everyone wants to be part of the 11th Annual Arts Walks the Runway at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in downtown Fort Myers. WGCU's Tom Hall takes you behind the scenes to reveal just how the designers, performers and models are getting ready for this year's two-night fashion show.

The Marco Island Center for the Arts has worked hard to become an integral part of the vibrant and engaging Marco Island community.

While comedienne Carol Burnett is revered for making people laugh, she was also an author and playwright. Her memoir focused on her early life and influences along with her relationship with her daughter, Carrie Hamilton. The play the two wrote together, "Hollywood Arms," teaches invaluable lessons about escaping poverty, the agony of shattered hopes, and the triumph of realized dreams.

The 37th Annual All Florida Juried Exhibit is on view this month in the main gallery of the Alliance for the Arts. The show continues to grow in stature and statewide recognition, as evidenced by the fact that the Alliance received 120 more submissions this year than it did in 2022. That presented this year’s juror, Grace Gdaniec, with quite the challenge when it came to deciding which 60 or so works to include in this year’s exhibition.

The Fort Myers nonprofit visual and performing arts center Alliance for the Arts is collecting stories as part of an oral history project called, “Storm Stories” from anyone who experienced Hurricane Ian.
