Local businessman Erwin Jackson is going after City Commisioner Scott Maddox. Jackson claims that Maddox illegally transferred funds from his 2016 superintendent campaign to a campaign account for a state Senate run in 2020. 


A state investigation in Palm Beach County found clear-cut evidence of voter fraud in last year’s August primary election.

Investigators with the State Attorney’s Office found more than 20 forged signatures on request forms for absentee ballots. They investigated the case over the past year, but could not identify a suspect.

In some instances, voters said they received an absentee ballot in the mail without ever filling out a request form.

The American Civil Liberties Union is squaring off against Florida election officials and the Trump administration over voter information.

With Democrats and some Republicans increasing calls this week to fully reject a federal commission's request for voter information, Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner announced Thursday that the state will provide only publicly available data.

Florida’s Democratic lawmakers are joining the call to reject the president’s request for voter information.
